Olumba, Cynthia
Cynthia Olumba is a lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics, University of Nigeria. She is currently a Commonwealth PhD Scholar at the School of Natural and Environment Sciences, Newcastle University, UK. She holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food security (Distinction) from the University of Exeter, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Farm Management (First class honours) from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. She has published widely and presented at different national and international conferences and meetings. Her research focuses on climate change adaptation and mitigation, gender equality, food security, sustainable land and forest management, renewable energy and green technology. Several philosophical paradigms (such as post-positivism, constructivists, and critical realism) offer Cynthia’s research a firm footing. She is well-versed in using qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and forward-thinking transdisciplinary research techniques that address pressing societal and environmental challenges.
