The 18th Annual Meeting will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on October 3-6, 2024. A Policy Day will be held on October 2.
The Environment for Development (EfD) is a leading global network of environmental economics research centers solving the world’s most pressing environmental and development challenges. We contribute to the effective management of the environment in the Global South through policy-relevant research, capacity development, and policy engagement.
EfD research centers are hosted by leading local academic research institutions in 12 locations across the Global South: Chile, Colombia, Central America, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Vietnam.
The plenary sessions will feature a great line-up of speakers. Some examples:
- Francisco Alpizar: Experiences from a collaborative program.
- Carolyn Fischer: Trade and Environment
- Josephine Musango will present in an AFAERE session
Several awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting. A novelty is the EfD Gender Analysis Award.
