Despite increased investments in the promotion of the adoption of sustainable land management technologies by developing countries, rural poverty remains prevalent. Thus, there is a need to measure the impact of sustainable land management technologies on poverty in order to provide relevant information necessary for devising appropriate poverty reduction strategies. This paper used the Endogenous Switching Regression method to estimate the effect of the adoption of sustainable land management technologies on poverty in Kenya. The paper found that adopting sustainable land management technologies significantly increases farmers’ welfare. As a strategy of poverty reduction, government and other stakeholders should endeavor to promote the adoption of sustainable land management technologies, since the adoption of these technologies reduces poverty.
