Nobel Laureate Elinor Ostrom via link

Nobel Prize Laureate Elinor Ostrom's open lecture at the International Science Festival in Gothenburg will be sent via link from the U.S. Professor Thomas Sterner, Chair of the EfD Research Committee, will introduce.

The open lecture Future Directions in Social Ecological Research by professor Ostrom will be sent via link on 22nd of April, 17.30-18.30. Address: Chalmerska huset, Södra Hamngatan 11.

Unfortunately Nobel Prize Laureate Elinor Ostrom had to cancel her trip to Sweden due to the flight disruptions after the eruption of Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland.

She had been invited to the International Science Festival in Gothenburg, and was scheduled to give an open seminar together with Thomas Sterner on April 21, as well as an open lecture on April 22. Professor Ostrom had also planned to meet and discuss research with researchers and PhD students at the Environmental Economics Unit/EfD in Sweden.

The first seminar Crisis or development – economy as a solution?" was held at Domkyrkan on April 21 by Thomas Sterner alone and discussed the effect of economic growth on climate change.
