Efd-EPRU Fellow Mare Sare invited the distinguished Professor Charles Perring of Arizona State University to give a talk on biodiversity at the School of Economics Monday 16th October 2009.
Professor Charles Perring, internationally recognized for his work on biodiversity gave a stimulating talk of the environmental consequences of international trade of which the most significant may well be the redistribution of species. The distinguised speaker higligted the increasing risks of introduction of news species with the volume of trade. The talk was followed by a discussion on the threats to biodiversity.
