It is in recognition of EfD in Ethiopia’s contributions towards agricultural development in Ethiopia, Dr Alemu Mekonnen, Coordinator of EfD in Ethiopia and Dr Menale Kassie were invited to participate in a prestigious and high profiled Dialogue on Ethiopian Agriculture organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, on 12th November 2009.
The event was organized to honor Professor Gebisa Ejeta, winner of the 2009 World Food Prize and for discussion on agricultural development in Ethiopia. This high profiled event was attended by His Excellency Ato Meles Zenawi, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, who gave the Opening Speech.
