The CERDI (Centre for Studies and Research on International Development) from the University of Auvergne is organizing its 2nd Conference on Environmental Economics and Natural Resources Management in Developing and Transition Economies, to be held:
17-18-19 October 2012 – CERDI – Clermont University (Clermont-Ferrand, France)
A pre-conference on Migration and the Environment is co-organized with the University of Paris 1 (CES - Axis Development and Globalization) and the FERDI and IDDRI.
The conference is organized with the support of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE).

However, it does not exclude other contributions in the field of environment and development. Theoretical, empirical and policy-oriented works will be considered for oral presentation.
Paper submissionFull papers or work in progress (at least 5 000 words) with an abstract (150-250 words), 4-5 keywords and detailed contact information (authors’ names and affiliations, postal addresses and emails of presenting authors - on a separate page) should be submitted at the following address: http://enrmdte2012.sciencesconf.org/user/submit from June 1st to June 30. Authors should indicate whether they submit their paper for the pre-conference or for thematic sessions. The papers to be submitted to the pre-conference will undergo the standard refereeing process.
Special issueThe editorial board of the journal Environment and Development Economics (EDE) has given a preliminary agreement for editing a special issue on the topic “the poverty-environment nexus” based on the papers presented at this Conference.
Registration fees
175€ regular, 80€ for PhD students (including conference materials, coffee breaks, 2 lunches and 2 dinners). A full refund of the registration fees will be given if the cancellation is received before October 1st, 2012.
