Women in the Economy Workshop 2019

Organized by ISI with the support of IWWAGE

The annual workshop to study the role of women in the economy was conducted by ISI in collaboration with the The Initiative for What Works to Advance Women and Girls in the Economy (IWWAGE). The policy workshop in 2019 covered several topics over two days of presentations and seminars. These included : 

1. Culture and Social Norms 
2. Gender and Education
3. Women at Work

These three broad topics subsumed presentations that looked at the role of the markets that guided women's choices. They also studied the impact of social networks, and modelling of preferences to better understand the choices that women make and why they make them.
