Please join the seminar hosted by the Economics Department at the University of Gothenburg at their "General Economics Seminar" with Ottmar Edenhofer as the invited speaker.
Ottmar Edenhofer is the Director and Chief Economist of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research as well as the Director of the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change and Professor for Climate Economics and Public Policy at the Technische Universität Berlin.
Edenhofer is a leading expert in the field of the economics of climate change. His main research interests cover the impact of technological change on the costs and strategies of climate change mitigation, public finance, distributional effects of climate policy instruments, scientific policy advice, and the science-policy interface as well as inequality research. The title of Ottmar's talk is “Managing the carbon cycle in the 21st Century: A Public Economics Perspective on Negative Emission Technologies in Europe.”
