The next speaker in the EEU seminar series is Jan Steckel who is currently the head of Climate and Development working group at the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change. Jan will give a talk with the topic Coal, Carbon Pricing and the Poor.
Biography
Jan's research focuses on climate change mitigation in developing and newly-industrializing countries. In more specific, his work focuses on interactions between climate change mitigation and sustainable development, energy and economic development, and climate policy and policy instruments in developing and emerging economies. Jan has published his research in various journals including Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, and Energy Economics.
