Peters, Jörg

Jörg has been studying the economics of energy poverty for several years and has extensively worked on the impacts and adoption of improved cookstoves and electricity access. Among others, he has conducted impact evaluations of a large grid roll-out program in Rwanda, cookstove dissemination programs in Burkina Faso and Senegal as well as a micro-hydro village grid program in Indonesia. Jörg is head of the research group “Climate Change in Developing Countries” at RWI in Essen and Visiting Associate Professor at University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
