Ogada, Maurice
Maurice is an Associate Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics, School of Business, Economics and social Sciences (SBESS), Taita Taveta University. He holds a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics (Kenyatta University), MA in Economic Policy Management (Makerere University) and B.Ed in Economics and Geography (Egerton University). He has specialized skills in Econometric Modeling, Randomized Control Trials, Environmental Valuation, Public Policy Process, and Programme and Project Monitoring and Evaluation. He is widely published in his areas of expertise, and is a fellow of the Environment for Development Initiative (EfD) and a member of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE) and the African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE).
Previously, Maurice worked as a Policy Analyst with the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) in the areas of Agriculture, Trade, and Environment and Natural Resource Management. He has also consulted for a number of national and international institutions such as the Government of Kenya, the World Bank, Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), the World Vegetable Centre (WorldVeg), Climate Change and Food Security (CCAFS), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Kenya Semi-Arid Livestock Enhancement Support (K-SALES) and Kenya Markets Trust (KMT).
