Nnaji, Amaka
Amaka Precious Nnaji is a Research Fellow at EfD Nigeria. She is also an EfD Early Career Fellowship recipient. Amaka is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar with the Evans School Policy Analysis Research (EPAR) Group at the University of Washington. Prior to joining EPAR, Amaka was a Research Scientist at Innovations for Poverty Action Nigeria, she was also a lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics, University of Nigeria Nsukka and Lincoln University, New Zealand. She holds a PhD in Development Economics from Lincoln University, New Zealand, an MSc degree in Agricultural Development Economics from the University of Reading, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Research Interest
Amaka’s current research interests are in Environmental and Development Economics with specific focus on the impact of access to resources and conflict on agricultural productivity, food security, child nutrition, and poverty reduction. She is currently involved in research on the mediating impacts of financial inclusion on climate shock mitigation as well as assessing the impact of various interventions on plastic waste management.
