Lwiza , Florence
Florence Lwiza is an agricultural and development economist with more than ten years of experience as an educator, researcher, and facilitator for rural development projects in Uganda. Currently, she is employed as a Lecturer in the Department of agribusiness and natural resource economics of Makerere University in Uganda and has previously worked as a policy engagement officer, trainer, technical officer, and independent consultant for various national and international organizations, notably the Uganda Cooperative Alliance, World Bank, GIZ Uganda, Uganda National NGO Forum and District Farmers Associations. Her research interests are broad-based and in areas of climate change, renewable energy, technology adoption, impact evaluation, and value chain analyses. She has presented her research at different fora and is interested in interdisciplinary collaborations in the fields of agribusiness, agricultural policy, and rural and international development.
