Drakenberg, Olof
Olof Drakenberg is the EfD Global Partnership Coordinator and has 30 years of experience in advancing the sustainability agenda in international organizations, businesses, and academia at a strategic level. His responsibilities include i) establishing and maintaining partnerships with international organizations; ii) formalizing collaborations with academic partners; iii) preparing strategies for partnerships, and iv) supporting the development of funding proposals for the network.
Prior to joining the EfD, he worked as a project leader at Global Sustainable Futures (University of Gothenburg/Chalmers) promoting North-South university collaboration, and as an advisor to Sida based at the Gothenburg Centre of Sustainable Development (GMV). He has also worked as a program manager at Sida and has been part of the official Swedish delegation to COP 23. He has an extensive network and experience in collaboration with a range of governmental agencies and global organizations including OECD, UNDP, UNEP, IFC, and IIED. He has also been a CSR manager at Volvo Cars and worked as a consultant for government agencies, municipalities, NGOs, and businesses.
He holds an M.Sc. in Business and Economics from The School of Business, Economics, and Law, University of Gothenburg, and a degree in Journalism from the University of Gothenburg.
