Astrid is now working at Earth Institute, Columbia University in New York but is still affiliated to EfD and Department of Economics, University of Gothenburg.

Astrid’s research interests lie primarily in global sustainable development issues. Her research uses game theoretic models and economic experiments. In particular, the research focuses on human decision making and how institutions can be designed to promote cooperation and to identify and remove barriers to cooperation. Astrid was a research fellow at the Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheimy. She also worked for the German Federal Environmental Agency. Astrid received her MA in economics at Mannheim University and her PhD at Magdeburg University in Germany.
