Chiemela, Stella Nwawulu

Stella Nwawulu Chiemela is a lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a research fellow in the Resource and Environmental Policy Research Centre - Environment for Development (REPRC-EfD). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, where she graduated with a First Class Honours. She was the second best graduating both at the Department and Faculty of Agriculture. Stella also holds a master’s degree in Agroecology and Sustainable Development from the Department of Natural Resource Economics and Management, Mekelle University, Ethiopia. Her master’s degree was also awarded with high honours, coming top in her class. Stella has published papers in international peer-reviewed journals.

Her research interests focus on Sustainable agriculture and environment; Natural resource conservation; Climate change; Gender; Rural economy; and, Food security.
