Ayhan, Sinem

Sinem Ayhan is a post-doc researcher at the working group of Climate and Development, MCC-Berlin. Her research currently focuses on:

  • Distributional impacts of carbon pricing
  • The political economy of energy policies in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA)
  • Evaluation of electrification programs in SSA

Before joining MCC, Sinem worked as a research associate at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) in Bonn and a post-doc at the University of Münster. Sinem obtained her Ph.D. in Economics from Bologna University in July 2014.
