Thomas Sterner has been appointed visiting professor 2015-16 at Collège de France, the most prestigious higher research institution in France. The Chair in Sustainable Development - Environment, Energy and Society that Sterner has been appointed has previously been held by the British economist Nicholas Stern, who wrote the acclaimed book The Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change (2006).
Sterner held his inaugural lecture in French on October 22, 2015 at 18.00.The audience consisted of 450 people on site at the Collège de France, but the lecture was simultaneously translated into English and webcasted. It can be seen and downloaded here
