Event Information
The Environment for Development initiative (EfD) is currently working on a IDRC research agenda titled "Inclusive Green Transitions for Sustainable Development in the Global South." This agenda aims to support a low-carbon transition that is both efficient and promotes gender equity. To validate the findings and implications of this agenda for climate policies in the Global South, EfD-Vietnam is organizing a workshop with the participation of academics and government agencies.
During the workshop, participants will discuss key knowledge gaps and research needs related to various aspects of the low-carbon transition, including the transformation of critical sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and forestry, enabling policy environments, mobilization of new climate investments, and cross-cutting themes such as gender equality, human capital, and institutions. The workshop's objective is to identify priority areas for research that will contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive low-carbon transition in the Global South.
