A TWO-DAY TECHNICAL WORKSHOP ON NATURAL CAPITAL AND ECOSYSTEM SERVICES ACCOUNTING

The Resource and Environmental Policy Research Centre (REPRC), Environment for Development (EfD) Nigeria, University of Nigeria, in collaboration with the West Africa Regional Platform on Natural Capital, will host a two-day technical workshop on Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services Accounting for staff of relevant government ministries, agencies and departments in Nigeria. Date: December 2-3, 2020 Venue: Top Rank Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria The workshop is aimed at creating awareness and building capacities of concerned government staff in adopting Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services Accounting. The workshop is expected to provide direction for the Nigerian government to finally incorporate and mainstream Natural Capital Accounting into her National Development Plans and into the System of National Accounts (SNA). The Nigerian Minister for Environment will be the Special Guest of Honour at the event.
