His work covers the interactions between biodiversity, climate change, and human wellbeing with a social-ecological systems perspective. Prof. Pascual is active in several research networks promoting biodiversity research in Europe, and has been lead author of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) Global Assessment between 2015-2018.
