Urama, Chinasa Ebere
Urama, Chinasa Ebere is currently a senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Economics, an M.Sc. Degree in Development Economics and Doctorate degree specializing in Health and Development Economics. She joined the services of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2006 as a planning officer in the Academic Planning Unit of the Vice Chancellor’s Office where she rose to the position of Chief Planning Officer before joining the Academia in 2016. She has been conducting research in the area of Health and Development and Environmental Economics where she has published enormously in both peer-reviewed, scientific and reputable journals. She has also attended and presented papers at many local and international conferences. Research Interest
Dr. Chinasa Urama’s, research interest include areas in Health Economics, Development Economics, finance, Environmental economics, Macro and Microeconomics, governance and institutions, and fiscal policy among others. The major focus include health issues, governance, gender, energy and carbon taxation.
Mentoring of students
Dr. Chinasa Urama has supervised and graduated over 40 undergraduate students and 3 Post Graduate Diploma students. She is also currently supervising 3 Masters students in Economics Department.
