Salazar, Leonardo
Short Bio
Leonardo Salazar is assistant professor at the Department of Economics, University of Concepción, Chile. He is a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR), and a research fellow at the Environment for Development Initiative (EfD). He holds a Ph.D. (2016) in Economics and a Master (2014) in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Research interests
Leonardo's research is concentrated on time series econometrics, with a focus on aquaculture economics and macroeconometrics. His research has contributed to a better understanding of how prices of aquaculture products are determined on international markets.
Mentoring
Leonardo has supervised one master thesis in economics and environmental and natural resources, and several undergraduate thesis. He has also participated in several master’s and undergraduate thesis committees.
