Murithi, Jackline
Jackline Makandi Murithi is a Researcher with a multidisciplinary background. She is currently a Researcher at the World Bank-Kenya and a PhD student in Environmental Policy at the Centre for Advanced studies in Environmental Law and Policy, at the University of Nairobi. She holds a Master of Arts - Environmental Law at the University of Nairobi.
Her research interests include climate change, natural resource conflicts, displacement and migration, poverty and gender issues. Previously, Jackline has served as a Research consultant for several organizations including World resources Institute to assess capacity for the Resilience and Adaptation Mainstreaming Program (RAMP); Kenya ports Authority in developing Kenya’s Green Port policy; Peace and Life Institute in exploring the nexus between Climate and conflicts in Kenya and Uganda; UNDP-GEF to explore and propose a legal framework for Kenya to implement the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization, among others.
