Miano , Grace
Grace Miano is a junior research fellow at EFD Kenya. She hold master’s degree in economics and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Population and Environmental studies at the University of Nairobi Department of Geography.
She is a development economics practitioner specializing in livelihoods and conservation programmes. She is currently working for International Union for conservation of Nature (IUCN) in East and South Africa Region Office as monitoring and Evaluation Advisor for USAID project that is supporting the East African Community in the implementation of its commitments to conserve wildlife and habitats in East Africa.
Previously, she worked at International Livestock Research institute (ILRI) where she was overseeing project evaluations and reviews, developing research, monitoring and evaluation systems; developing theories of change and logic models and other strategic planning approaches.
Research Interest
Grace is at the concept development stage of her Ph.D. thesis on impact of changes of land use and population and implication on climate for the pastoral community of Kajiado County
