López-Uribe, María del Pilar
María is a Research fellow of EfD Colombia and coordinator of the Women in Environmental Economics for Development (WinEED). She is Research Fellow at the Latin American and the Caribbean Centre and the Firoz Lalji Africa Centre at the London School of Economics and an investigator at the Gender Hub at the same university. She is also a researcher at the Centre for Development Economics (CEDE) and Centre for Security and Drugs (CESED) at the Universidad de los Andes. She is an economist and a historian and holds a PhD in Development Economics from the London School of Economics (2018).
Research interests
She specializes in development economics, economic history and political economy with focus on conflict, land, gender and climate change.

- Lead professor of MIA (a student research group on women empowerment and gender gaps in economics).
