Jimmy Karlsson is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Economics at the University of Gothenburg with expected graduation in 2025. 

Research interests

Jimmy’s research interest broadly covers environmental economics, labor economics, and industrial organization. More specifically, his research focuses on the interplay between the regulation of firms and labor markets, including policy-induced changes in the demand and supply of workers’ skills. His current project is an investigation of the carbon tax on the labor market in Sweden.
