Amare, Sahleselassie
Sahleselassie attained a BSc in Agriculture from Mekelle University and MSc in Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation from the University of Twente, Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), the Netherlands, focusing on sustainable agriculture. He works as a Research Officer and GIS/RS Analyst to assist research in the Environment and Climate Research Centre/ECRC/.
His research interests focus on the relationship between environmental valuation and environmental resource conservation and management by modeling environmental resources.
With a focus on integrating these values into economic development, it aspires to assess the impacts of environmental degradation and climate change on ecosystem services and support decision-making related to environmental management, policy, and planning to establish a balance between environmental conservation and economic goals.
Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Environmental Science with a specialization in Environmental Resource Conservation and Management.
