The EfD Annual Meeting is the largest annual conference in the Global South on the application of environmental economics to development.
The EfD Annual Meeting will be held in Bogotá, Colombia, on 21-25 November 2019. On 21 November, a Policy Day, attended by both academics and policy makers, will be organized by the EfD center at Universidad de Los Andes on the theme of Forests and Peace (it is an open event at the Universidad de Los Andes campus, held in Spanish with translation to English available). The EfD Annual Meeting will be held on 22-25 November 2019 at the Marriott Bogotá hotel.
EfD is a capacity building program in research, training and policy advice, with centers in fifteen academic institutions in Central America, Chile, China, Colombia, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania, Uganda and USA. It is managed by the EfD Secretariat at the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. It holds a conference each year hosted by one of its centers in the Global South. The 13th EfD Annual Meeting will be held in Bogotá, Colombia, 22-25 November 2019, and the 14th EfD Annual Meeting will be held in Kerala, India in October/November 2020.
If you would like to take part in the EfD Annual Meeting, the conference fee is 430 USD, which includes conference package, dinners, and transfer to and from the hotel (accommodation is not included). The deadline for submission of papers has passed, however if you would like to submit a paper for the EfD Annual Meeting next year, keep an eye on the EfD website or sign up for the EfD Newsletter to stay up to date on submission deadlines.
