The workshop was on June 22nd. In the study participated other colleagues, Beatriz Cid and Manuel Estay, as well. The study was mandated by the Instituto de Fomento Pesquero (IFOP), the public fisheries research institute in Chile. It searches to estimate indirect employment generated by the Chilean fisheries industry contrasting two methodologies: One based on input-output tables and a direct method based on interviews to qualified informants and a survey on firms that provide inputs or services to this sector.
