How can African agriculture adapt to climate change?

A panel of farmers and policy makers, 96 scientists, government agents, and other stakeholders took part in the workshop entitled "How can African agriculture adapt to climate change? Results and Conclusions for Ethiopia and beyond", held in Nazret 11–13 December and organized by EfD Ethiopia/EEPFE and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) .

Mahmud Yesuf, coordinator of the EfD center in Ethiopia, and Tekie Alemu, EfD research fellow, are co-authors of one of the papers that were presented. Their study explores what persuades small farmers to adapt to climate change. SciDevNet wrote a news story about it and the piece was picked up by and carried on AllAfrica.com

About 30 students attended the last two days sessions.

Mahmud Yesuf, Tekie Alemu, and Alemu Mekonnen, all EfD research fellows, were chairing som of the workshop sessions.
