EfD Coordination Committee

The aim of every EfD center is to become a sustainable and viable institution that has lasting impacts on poverty alleviation and evidence-based management of the environment, natural resources, and climate change impacts.  EfD’s Coordination Committee oversees the formation of centers into vibrant and highly capable research institutions, each with the capacity to run graduate academic programs, implement cutting-edge policy research, and foster engagement with key policy stakeholders. It also oversees the ongoing cultivation of fruitful partnerships.

In particular, the Coordination Committee:

  • Oversees the selection and development of new EfD centers;
  • Oversees external evaluations of new and existing EfD centers, every five years;
  • Fosters collaboration between centers and with regional environmental economic networks;
  • Supports the development and maintenance of strong research-policy interfaces at each center.

The Coordination Committee is chaired by Martine Visser and consists of the Directors of each of the EfD centers. You can see the members here.
