Ngasamiaku, Wilhelm

Dr. Wilhelm M. Ngasamiaku is a Senior Lecturer at the  University of Dar es Salaam School of Economics and a Research Fellow (Environment for Development Initiative Center-Tanzania. His PhD specialization in Natural Resource and Environmental Economics, public sector economics and Valuation of Non Market Goods and Services mathematics for economists.

He teaches Economic Theory, Public Sector Economics, Environmental Economics and Natural Resource Economics and Mathematics for Economists. He also participates in various research and consulting works. Over the recent past, I was a member of the team of consultants that was engaged to conduct a study on Economic Valuation of Ihefu Wetland: Poverty-Environment Linkages under the financial support of UNEP. I also participated as co-investigator in a study on looking at Sustainable financing options of the climate change and variability adaptation measures by rural smallholder farmers in Tanzania under the Environment for Development Initiative in Tanzania (EfDT)  with SIDA financial support. More recently, I also participated as a co-investigator of team doing a study Analyzing and Unpacking Tourisim Investment Potential in Western Serengeti Tourism Corridor under the financial support from UNDP. In all these assignments major works involved designing of field instruments, Supervision of data collection, Data Analysis and report writing.
