The Environmental Economics and Natural Resource Group (ENR) at Wageningen University and Research (WUR) is looking for a Assistant Professor to join their team. The applicants must have completed a PhD in economics with a focus, or at least a strong interest on environmental issues. We have a preference for strong quantitative empirical skills (e.g. spatial econometrics, analysis of cross sectional data, design and analysis of experimental data). Previous work on behavioural economics, social-ecological systems, energy or climate policy design is a plus.
In summary, they are searching for:
- a PhD in economics, preferably with strong empirical quantitative skills;
- affinity with and experience in environmental and natural resource economics is appreciated;
- a good track-record of writing papers that can lead to good publications;
- experience in empirical research;
- a strong team player willing to contribute to the wider interests of the group;
- willingness to write research proposals, proven experience is even better;
- experience in teaching and supervision of MSc / BSc students.
Excellent English language proficiency (a mininum of CEFR C2 level).
