The conference “The Green Growth Dilemma” is the final conference of the research project “Economics of an Integrated and Long-term Climate and Energy Policy” funded by the German Joint Initiative for Research and Innovation (“Pakt für Forschung und Innovation” - PAKT).
The focus of the conference will be the assessment of green growth strategies. The goal thereby is to clarify the challenges to pursuing a smart and sustainable growth path in the economies of the world. Since this issue has been receiving increasing attention in the worlds of politics and academia, a second aim is to bring together policy makers and scientists to discuss the hurdles to developing green growth strategies and how such a “green growth path” could be a guided by policy measures. The project consortium consisting of the ZEW, PIK, Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Resources for the Future (RFF), Tsinghua University, and University of Kiel will present the main results of the past three years of research and discuss it with invited speakers and policy makers.
