The world economy: Challenges for the future
This year the Economic Society of South Africa (ESSA) takes place in South Africa and deals with the future challenges of a world economy. Kerri Brick and Johane Dikgang, EfD-EPRU junior research fellows will present their work in the environmental economics track.
ESSA was established in 1925 and is a discussion forum for economists in academic life, government and business. It has a history of membership from Cabinet Ministers, Governors of the Reserve Bank, Chief Executives of Companies, Directors-General of Government Departments, Academic Leaders and prominent Economists. At present, there are approximately 600 members and 9 branches throughout South Africa.
