This event, organized by Nairobi Framework partners and supported by the Ethiopian Environmental Protection Authority, constitutes a unique platform for knowledge sharing on carbon policy and practice developments, and includes matchmaking and deal facilitation sessions that will enable potential Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project participants and developers to showcase their projects to interested parties, including investors and carbon buyers.
The 4th Africa Carbon Forum
(AFC) is a trade fair and knowledge sharing platform for carbon
investments in Africa. It brings together representatives from
Designated National Authorities (DNA), national focal points, and
representatives from United Nations agencies, the World Bank,
governments, and the private sector.
This year’s Carbon Forum will take place April 18-20, 2012 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at the UN Conference Centre.
It is the prime forum for transfer of know-how and exchange of
experiences between project developers who have successfully implemented
CDM projects in Africa and elsewhere, and those who are starting to
develop their own projects on the continent.
