The inaugural AERE Summer Conference is held in Seattle, June 9-10, 2010. 2010 African Economic Conference, Tunis, Tunisia, November 10-12, 2010 The 2010 Conference is organized around the theme: “Setting the agenda for Africa’s Economic Recovery and Long-term Growth”. The Conference comprises plenary sessions with keynote presentations, followed by several break-out sessions. These sessions are complemented by a Round Table Discussion that seeks to articulate the key elements of the debate on the Conference theme which is discussed from the perspectives of the different tiers of participants.

The UNEP FI Global Roundtable has set the global agenda for sustainable finance over the years. As it travels across continents, this biennial event attracts hundreds of professionals from the global financial sector and its many stakeholders in the public and private domains, including governments, civil society and academia. EfD in Ethiopia will be represented in the 27th Conference of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE). Dr Zenebe Gebreegziabher will be presenting a paper entitled "Institutions and Sustainable Land Use: the Case of Forest and Grazing Lands in Northern Ethiopia" at the conference. The theme of the conference is "The Global Landscape of Agriculture".
Respondents to this invitation are asked by no later than 27 July 2009 to submit an abstract of a maximum of 500 words on a topic in the general realm of the role of economic instruments in mitigating climate change in South Africa.
