Carlos Adrián Saldarriaga is Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Medellín, and Senior Research Fellow of EfD Colombia. He holds a PhD in Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Medellín.
He is interested in researching the relation between economic development and natural resources. He has done research on the economic analysis of mining resources at the micro and macro levels, and cooperation in collective dilemmas. He is interested in analyzing regulation policies for the use of mercury in mining activities, and the interaction between conservation and development policies. His research includes quantitative and qualitative methods.
