Ximena Rueda is Associate Professor at the School of Management at Universidad de Los Andes and Senior Research Fellow from EfD Colombia. She holds a PhD in Geography from Clark University. She is interested in analyzing the role of private-driven instruments for sustainability.
She is interested in researching the impacts of globalization on local ecosystems and rural communities, the relationship between global value chains and land use, and the design and implementation of private-driven mechanisms to advance sustainability in agricultural chains. She is also interested on analyzing global food systems, telecoupling of socio-ecological systems, and adaptation to climate change.
