Prof. Jane Kabubo-Mariara is a Senior Research Fellow. She is also the Director of the School of Economics, University of Nairobi. She holds a B.A, M.A. and PhD in Economics from the University of Nairobi. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics where she represents public universities. She is also on the board of several other organisations. In addition, she is also a member of a number of regional and international professional societies, and in editorial boards of some key leading journals. She has been among the most active and competitive researchers with the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), the Poverty and Economic Policy (PEP) Research network and the Center for Environmental Economics and Policy in Africa (CEEPA). She has consulted for the World Bank, the International Development Research Centre (IDRC); the African Economic Research Consortium; and, the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) among other institutions. Kabubo-Mariara has also participated in and competently presented papers in many local, regional and international workshops and conferences including World Congresses in her areas of research.
