Dambala Gelo

Dambala is Research Fellow at EPRU and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town. He is also a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Economics at the University of Mannheim. He completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Economics at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

  • Applied microeconometrics (treatment effect evaluation, discrete choice methods, Bayesian inference and model selection, non-linearity in panel data models)
  • Non-market valuation in environment and health
  • Behavioral and experimental economics (applications to financial markets and coordination problems of the commons)

  • Political economy of climate change (environmental) policies
