Jorge Alexander Bonilla

Jorge Alexander Bonilla is the Director of REES-EfD Colombia. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at Universidad de Los Andes. He holds a PhD in Economics from University of Gothenburg. His research interests are policy instruments, transport, air pollution, and impact evaluation.

He specializes in environmental policy instruments with focus on externalities, air pollution and impact evaluation using applied econometrics. In his recent work he analyzes the impact of transport policies on congestion and air pollution and the synergies and tradeoffs between abatement of global and local pollution.
