Alvsilver, Jessica

Jessica Alvsilver is currently employed by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency where she assesses and advices on environmental policy including the design and evaluation of policy instruments and the valuation of ecosystem services. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from University of Gothenburg. Her research areas include welfare and development economics and valuation. She has coordinated larger interdisciplinary research collaborations in East Africa (Marine research program) and is currently coordinating the Sida financed ESAfD program that is a collaboration between the SEPA, EfD and WAVES at the World Bank. Jessica is also a member of the OECD Working Party on Biodiversity Water and Ecosystems and active in EU processes related to the Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystem Services.
